?What is FIRST LEGO League: Explore

This non-competitive program is designed to build students' interest in science and technology through a real-world challenge that can be solved using research, critical thinking, and imagination. Students involved in Explore build models and create posters to display what they have learned at Festivals, the culminating experience for the program each year.

Watch the video below to hear Explore (formerly known as FIRST LEGO League Jr.) students describe their experience.

Ready for the next level?

If your student is in the age range of 9-14, FIRST LEGO League Challenge is the program for them! In Challenge, friendly competition is at the heart, as teams of students engage in research, problem-solving,coding, and engineering – building and programming a LEGO robot that navigates the missions of a robot game. As part of Challenge, teams also participate in a research project to identify and solve a relevant real-world problem.
