Our Commitment to Safety, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
Renaissance Jax, through FIRST, will strive to create an environment in which team members can grow, learn, and have fun with minimal risk of injury. This is why volunteers 18 years or older are required to complete a background check in order to volunteer at our events. Learn more about the Youth Protection Program here.
As stewards of FIRST
robotics in our community, we understand the broader societal context of economic, educational, and social factors historically leading to disproportionate access and outcomes. We want to deliver programs all youth can take part in. You can learn more about our commitment to STEM Equity here.
How do I volunteer?
Whether a seasoned volunteer or new to FIRST, we recommend taking this "Volunteering with FIRST"

is and what it means to volunteer with FIRST.

Every year we are more and more grateful for the people who decide to provide their time and talents to our programs. You're working side by side with FIRST
participants to build their leadership and problem-solving skills and, more importantly, their sense of belonging and self-confidence.
The Volunteer of the Year is awarded annually at the Regional Championship and spotlights an individual who has gone above and beyond to help our programs become reality.
