FIRST's new 20-minute interactive coach and mentor training can help you refresh your skills and help new mentors on your team build useful skills. If your team is starting the year remotely or in a hybrid setting, the remote mentoring training can help you learn more about running safe and inclusive remote meetings, how to build a sense of community for your team, and further resources and support.
FIRST is adapting safety and registration processes for all participants to accommodate the expanded program experience, including new remote event options.
All Youth Team Members are required to complete the online youth registration to participate in FIRST remote and in-person team meetings, events or competitions.
Registration must be completed prior to the youth member’s participation in the team’s first meeting. If your team has already met this season, please have all members complete the registration and execute the electronic Consent and Release form as soon as possible. We will accept signed Consent and Release Forms until the team’s first season event.
Additionally, as the team Lead Coach/Mentor 1 or 2, you must ensure every youth team member has completed the registration and has an executed Consent and Release form submitted in order for the team to participate in FIRST remote and in-person team meetings, events or competitions this season. Information about the youth registration process can be found here.
Thank you in advance for your support in this new process. In the event you have a student or parent who cannot complete online youth registration, please email robin@rjax.org to discuss your situation and request an exemption on behalf of your team member.
Thank you!
