"Expediting and scaling this particular manufacturing process that your organization has developed will save lives."
-UF Health Disaster Response and Emergency Preparedness
We are working to acquire 50 Prusa i3 MK3S printers to begin printing over 10,000 components to complete the project and donate to UF Health.

We are working directly with UF Health and their Director of Emergency Preparedness and Supply Chain Management.

We’ve been donated plastic (over 5,000 face shields-worth of PETG plastic) from The Coca-Cola Company to create the face shields below which are in extremely short supply for hospitals in North Florida. However, we still need to print the headband and bottom curve, which is where those 3D printers come in!

Due to our manufacturing process for the shields (die stamping) and for the corresponding headbands (3D printing until our injection mold is operational) we have huge throughput capabilities for this critical item to help in the fight against COVID-19.

Ultimately, we are looking at over 600 hours of print time if we go nonstop once we have the printers. We have already activated members in our community to begin printing and distributing until we are able to purchase our 3D printers.
